Ayurveda says health is not the absence of disease. It’s physical and emotional balance and integration. Optimal health requires the mind, physical body, and spirit to be in balance.

BALANCED MIND + BALANCED BODY + BALANCED SPIRIT = OPTIMAL HEALTH

I know firsthand how frustrating it can be when one of these is out of balance and you have to figure out what’s going on. It takes determination, patience, and tons of research to sometimes find the answers we need in order to heal. And healing comes in many forms.

Our body is a vehicle for the soul filled with life. Cells die and new ones are born every moment. In between each moment, every cell is living its divine purpose. But as we experience life, we hold onto small pieces of toxicity that accumulate in our physiology. This toxicity (viruses, bacteria, unprocessed emotions, etc.) can manifest as dis-ease. And as we accumulate more and more of this physical and/or emotional toxicity, we can experience physical pain and a breakdown in our cells that have lost their awareness of their purpose, much like cancer cells that form a tumor. They don’t die when they’re supposed to. They’re rebels that don’t conform to the divine order of the body.

Even at the most fundamental level, the universe seeks to maintain balance. For instance, the atom always strives toward balance of positive (proton) and negative (electron) charges. If it can’t maintain balance, it forms clusters with other atoms and molecules are formed.

YIN & YANG

All life is ruled by the interplay of two dynamic forces known in traditional Chinese medicine as yin and yang. When the yin and yang of your body are out of whack, illness, in varying forms, occurs. Sometimes, the difficult part is figuring out what went out of whack and why…

Set Your Intention for Optimal Health

I am practicing the vibration of being well, feeling good, and I flow into my best health. The more I appreciate, the better I feel. The better I feel, the more I allow who I am to flow through me. The more I allow who I am to flow through me, the better I feel. Self-love and worthiness is the equivalent of health and I’m going to practice these feelings often.
