There’s a great misconception in many communities that we create our illnesses through our thoughts and emotions. Essentially, the Law of Attraction, which states: Like attracts like.

Although I used to believe that our negative thoughts and emotions played a key role in the manifestation of illness, I don’t agree with that anymore. Why? Experience has taught me differently.

Case in point, several months ago I was hit with a viral illness, one I’ve had before. I exhausted myself at an expo, spent too much of my energy that weekend, and the virus pounced. It invaded my immune system. At the time, I was the happiest I’d ever been, doing what I loved. I was grateful to be alive and lived in a positive state of thought and emotions. I ate well, took supplements, exercised, and did all the “right” things. Yet, the virus returned. You see, the virus was still there, lying dormant in my body, ready to attack when my immune system was down.

So, getting ill had nothing to do with my thoughts and emotions. I believe it’s dangerous to think that our thoughts and emotions create illness. Negative emotions have their place and we must process them in healthy ways. The idea that they can create illness in turn creates fear of even having a negative emotion or thought, which is insane. You’re human and you’re bound to have your ups and downs.

I’ve met people who were miserable yet were perfectly healthy. Conversely, I’ve met happy people who led tranquil lives but were plagued by illness. According to Anthony William, in his book, Thyroid Healing, he states, “What really makes people sick are the pathogen loads and toxins that they bear. Those who don’t have a viral or toxin issue beneath the surface, don’t manifest illness.”

If you’re ill, don’t believe the myth that you created your illness or that somehow it’s your fault. You didn’t. The “blame the victim” mentality does nothing to help the healing process. In this context, the Law of Attraction does more harm than good.

I do believe in the power of positive thoughts, affirmations, and intentions. When I endured breast cancer, these were great allies in my healing process and I continue to use them today. But to say that every negative thing that happens in people’s lives is their fault is misleading.

What I’ve experienced and witnessed is that we cannot control everything that happens to us in life. Other forces intervene. But we can control our responses. People are not always to blame for their circumstances. Often we are subject to things outside our control. Bad things happen to good people all the time, and good things happen to bad people all the time.

Channeled Message about The Law of Attraction

The law of attraction, which says, “like attracts like” is true— to a degree. Yes, it is part of the universality of oneness, but there is more.

Have you ever experienced a time when something just came to you, or arrived unexpectedly, without your thoughts, feelings, or state-of-being making it so? What three-dimensional beings fail to recognize, or accept, is the mystery. There is more than the world appears to be. There are unseen forces that work “behind the scenes” so that what is to come to pass is to come to pass for the Good of all.

So yes, your thoughts, feelings, and state-of-being matter, but it is not All. The All That Is, the Divine Source, God, whatever you wish to call the Oneness, is the creative force of the universe. It’s also part of the mysterious nature of your reality. Know the Law of Attraction is important, but it is not All.

Did the 3,000 people who died in the 9/11 attacks on your planet attract the horror to them with negative thinking or emotions? More is at play here than appears. There are unseen energies that create havoc. The human mind wants to label and organize everything in its proper place but until you understand the organization of chaos and how it interplays with man’s free will, you only understand but a tiny fraction of the infinity of the cosmos.

Seek your own beliefs and truth through your experiences and those of others. Be open to various ways of “seeing” as you expand your awareness. Come to your own truths. We ask that you not be limited by the thought forms of your physical world.
